
Patrick is the band's lead vocalist, guitarist and musical arranger. Pat was born and raised in Chicago during the before moving to Key West and Atlanta, finally settling in Cocoa in 1990. Patrick is the band's lead vocalist, guitarist and musical arranger. Pat was born and raised in Chicago during the before moving to Key West and Atlanta, finally settling in Cocoa in 1990. He’s been playing music since elementary school and hasn't stopped. While in the Keys and then Atlanta, he was a member of the Ants and Scraps playing local venues and opening for such acts as the Romantics, Talking Heads, Leslie West and Mountain, Humble Pie, among others. Since moving to the Space Coast, Pat formed Little Joe and the Giants and then Sons of the Beach. Both bands played throughout the area in any bar, hotel, yard party, etc. that would have them. You’ll hear pop, rock, country, standards, and original music in his style. Before joining HWY-1 he fronted the GoFoot Band who placed as finalists in the 2014 “Brevard Live” original music contest. He is also retired from the medical profession after 35 years.

From New Jersey, he brings a “Jersey Shore Beach Vibe” to the band. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a Masters' Degree in Educational Administration and
taught music for 26 years before moving to Florida. Bat has played with many NJ bands including Trax, Pat Roddy, So

taught music for 26 years before moving to Florida. Bat has played with many NJ bands including Trax, Pat Roddy, Sonny Kenn, Castle Browne, Stringbean Blues, along with The Duprees and has opened for Cheap Trick, Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, The Drifters and The Village People.
In the late 1980's, he was the drummer for Richie Balin and the TNP Band, touring the USA and Canada
supporting Richie's country record releases.
Bat plays a full drum set, electronic
drums or a cajon/percussion set up.

"Double D" is the newest member of HWY-1. He hails from Louisiana, where he was a military brat, then moving to Florida in 1968, when his father retired from the Air Force. After following in his fathers foot steps, enlisting In the Air Force, and spending for 6 years there, DD has lived in Merritt Island ever since. His musical beginnings were in junior high school where he played the tuba before switching to bass guitar. He has been laying down the bottom on bass plus providing back up vocals and harmonic in local bands for the past 25 years, including Luna Sea, Payback Band and Squirrel Wind. Don also has a Bachelors degree in Communication and recently retired after a 32 year career with the City Of Cocoa. Welcome to HWY-1 Don.
